About The Position

United Mechanical is seeking an experienced Plumber Foreman to lead crews on commercial and institutional HVAC, electrical, and plumbing service projects throughout Southwest Florida, primarily in Lee, Collier, and Charlotte Counties. This is a full-time position with opportunities for overtime. The company is looking for professional, career-minded leaders who take pride in their workmanship, can effectively manage field crews, and are committed to delivering quality results. Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Journeyman Plumber License (State of Florida preferred) or be able to meet applicable licensing requirements.
  • 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience, with previous foreman or crew leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, installation methods, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize work, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Honest, dependable, and self-motivated with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and coordinate field activities.
  • Thorough understanding of job site hazards and safety regulations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds safely.
  • Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for communication and field reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise plumbing crews on commercial construction and service projects.
  • Coordinate daily job site activities, manpower, and project priorities to ensure work is completed safely and on schedule.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installations.
  • Oversee plumbing installations, repairs, and system replacements while ensuring compliance with company standards and applicable codes.
  • Determine material needs and coordinate ordering of parts and supplies.
  • Train, mentor, and develop apprentices and junior plumbers.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Complete and review job documentation, field reports, and required paperwork accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, customers, and fellow team members to ensure successful project execution.
