About The Position

EXP is seeking a Plumbing Designer / Engineer to join their MEP Plumbing Team within the U.S. South Sector. This role will be based in an Orlando or Coral Gables, Florida, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin office. The position offers the opportunity to work on designing plumbing systems for Gaming, Hospitality, Entertainment, Healthcare, or Commercial projects. The ideal candidate will work with senior engineers, route and size plumbing systems, perform load calculations, select equipment, prepare documentation (schedules, details, fixture/equipment schedules), understand and prepare SD, DD, and CD level documents, review and respond to Construction Administration items (RFIs, submittals), and delegate tasks to junior designers.

Requirements

• Ability to think in a 3D simulated environment
• 5 + years’ minimum experience in plumbing design
• Strong REVIT MEP experience.
• Great communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Engineering or Drafting Degree (BS Architectural Engineering, BS Mechanical Engineering, BS Plumbing Engineer, AS Drafting and Design, or equivalent degree) is a plus.
• EIT or PE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with a senior engineer for the direction of the plumbing systems to be designed.
• Route plumbing systems and size appropriately.
• Perform load calculations and perform selection of equipment.
• Prepare schedules, details, and fixture and equipment schedules.
• Understand the scope of SD, DD, CD level documents and be able to prepare and deliver drawings at the appropriate level.
• Review and respond to Construction Administration items to include RFIs and submittals.
• Delegate tasks to a junior level designer.
