About The Position

EXP is hiring a Plumbing Designer / Engineer to join the MEP Plumbing Team in the U.S. South Sector. The role is based in the Orlando or Coral Gables, Florida, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin office, and involves designing plumbing systems for gaming, hospitality, entertainment, healthcare, or commercial projects. The designer works with a senior engineer to develop plumbing systems and may delegate tasks to a junior-level designer.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in plumbing design.
• Ability to think in a 3D simulated environment.
• Strong REVIT MEP experience.
• Great communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• An engineering or drafting degree, such as a BS in Architectural Engineering, BS in Mechanical Engineering, BS in Plumbing Engineering, AS in Drafting and Design, or an equivalent degree.
• EIT or PE credential.

Responsibilities

• Work with a senior engineer for direction on plumbing systems to be designed.
• Route plumbing systems and size them appropriately.
• Perform load calculations and select equipment.
• Prepare schedules, details, and fixture and equipment schedules.
• Understand the scope of SD, DD, and CD documents and prepare and deliver drawings at the appropriate level.
• Review and respond to Construction Administration items, including RFIs and submittals.
• Delegate tasks to a junior-level designer.
