About The Position

Plumbing and Drain Company is looking for a dependable, hardworking Plumbing Apprentice who is ready to make plumbing a long-term career. This is an opportunity to learn the trade through hands-on field experience while working alongside experienced plumbing professionals. You will develop practical skills, learn how quality plumbing work is performed, and gain experience that can help you progress toward becoming a licensed plumber in Washington. We are looking for someone who arrives on time, works hard, takes direction well, and understands that building a skilled-trades career requires commitment and consistency. You do not need to know everything on your first day, but you must be ready to learn, contribute, and take pride in your work.

Requirements

  • A genuine interest in making plumbing a long-term career
  • Dependability, personal accountability, and a strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and follow established procedures
  • Ability to report to work consistently and be ready to begin at 7:30 a.m.
  • Availability to work until scheduled jobs are completed; daily end times may vary
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined spaces
  • Comfort working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
  • Ability to pass all applicable pre-employment requirements
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance of our South Puget Sound service area

Nice To Haves

  • Previous construction, plumbing, mechanical, maintenance, or other hands-on trade experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed plumbers with residential plumbing and drain-service work
  • Help install, repair, maintain, and replace plumbing systems and fixtures
  • Carry, organize, and properly care for tools, equipment, and materials
  • Prepare work areas and help keep jobsites and company vehicles clean and organized
  • Learn how to identify plumbing components, materials, and proper installation methods
  • Follow safety requirements, company procedures, and direction from the assigned plumber
  • Communicate respectfully with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Accurately document work and apprenticeship hours as required
  • Continue developing the technical knowledge and practical experience needed to advance in the plumbing trade
