About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a variety of skilled tasks involved in the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of plumbing equipment, mechanical systems and related equipment, fixtures and piping in City buildings and facilities; and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduation from high school or the equivalent
Three (3) years of qualified journey level plumbing experience
Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada or “border state” driver’s license, as defined by NRS 483
Must possess a current and valid journeyman certificate/card at the time of appointment
Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check

Nice To Haves

Possession of an American Water Works Association (AWWA) Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certificate within six (6) months of appointment, and maintenance of such current certification as a condition of continued employment
Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six months of hire/transfer and be recertified every year.
Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment
