About The Position

AQUATECH is seeking a qualified Plumber with 2 years of experience as a Red Seal Journeyman to join their team in the Cochrane area. AQUATECH is the largest private operator of water and wastewater treatment plants in Canada, specializing in management, operation, and maintenance services. This is a permanent, full-time position with regular work hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. The role involves the daily operation and maintenance of facilities under the guidance of a supervisor. The company is looking for an individual eager to learn and grow with their rapidly expanding company.

Requirements

2 years of experience as a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber.
Proficient with troubleshooting heating systems (various types of MAU’s, AHU’s, Unit Heaters, Boilers, Tankless HWT, LP Steam).
Ability to maintain and repair damaged piping (various types DWV, Copper, Plastic’s ETC).
Ability to use drain cleaning equipment.
Ability to install equipment and various piping systems.
Adaptable to work in various environments (outdoors, inside, at heights).
Willingness to learn and improve skills.
Be motivated, available and polyvalent.
Have effective organization skills.
Able to work under pressure quickly and efficiently.
Excellent problem solving skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Have a positive attitude and able to promote a positive image of AQUATECH.
Must be able to pass RCMP and Federal criminal record checks.

Responsibilities

Interpret various mechanical & electrical drawings (single line, schematics, loops drawings).
Troubleshoot heating systems (various types of MAU’s, AHU’s, Unit Heaters, Boilers, Tankless HWT, LP Steam).
Maintain and repair damaged piping (various types DWV, Copper, Plastic’s ETC).
Use drain cleaning equipment.
Install equipment and various piping systems.
Adapt to work in various environments (outdoors, inside, at heights).
Assist plant operators and other service crew members as required.
Compile and complete reports and all required documents.
Respond and communicate efficiently to client inquiries and maintain good relations with public, office staff, co-workers, and contractors.
Respond to after-hour call outs if required.
