About The Position

Under the direction of the Lead Plumber / Irrigation Mechanic, the incumbent will adjust, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain all facilities plumbing systems and applications. This role requires knowledge of local plumbing codes and involves performing all preventive maintenance on systems, maintaining applicable logbooks, and conducting walk-through inspections of domestic water systems. The incumbent will also be responsible for repairing showers, sinks, toilets, and water booster pumps, as well as maintaining technical logs and ensuring tools, equipment, and supplies are in good working order. The position also emphasizes promoting positive public/employee relations and performing all assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or trade school certificate preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience with commercial / industrial plumbing or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain all facilities plumbing systems and applications.
  • Perform all preventive maintenance on systems and maintain applicable logbooks.
  • Conduct walk-through inspections of domestic water systems to include water booster pumps, gauges and boiler temperature readings.
  • Repair showers, sinks, toilets, water booster pumps and on and off-site facilities.
  • Record gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
  • Maintain technical logs and record all relevant data as appropriate.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good, clean, operating order.
  • Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Perform all duties as assigned.
