About The Position

This role requires knowledge of water, fuel, gas, steam, and sewer piping, distribution systems, and associated piping. The plumber will operate, maintain, modify, troubleshoot, and repair these systems. Responsibilities include soldering and cementing piping using brazing equipment and approved plastic piping cements and bonding agents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrate a Journeyman level of proficiency in plumbing tasks.
• Minimum of four years plumbing experience, verifiable working for a licensed plumbing contractor or, if self-employed, four years with a C-36 license.
• Possess a valid Class C Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated capability to perform maintenance and repairs to plumbing systems and hot water systems.
• Able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Determines the type, amount, and sizes of materials required to perform plumbing tasks in accordance with established state and federal codes.
• Lays out, constructs, installs, repairs, rebuilds, and tests plumbing and pipe systems.
• Performs preventative/corrective maintenance.
• Identifies the location of required parts and materials.
• Follows all standard operation procedures within the division and work instructions.
• Participates in all APTIM/HDSS EHS and Quality procedures.
• Uses equipment manuals and follows and understands manufacturers’ specifications, including M.S.D.S.
• Acts professionally in the presence of the public and co-workers.
• Accurately tracks time, work orders, and parts using electronic devices.
• Participates in employee enhancement programs.
• Performs housekeeping duties, including cleaning office and shop areas.
