ICMS is looking for a Part-Time Licensed Plumber that will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This position requires a current Illinois plumber's license and a thorough understanding of state plumbing codes, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Valid Illinois Plumber License issued by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH)
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a state-approved apprenticeship program
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the plumbing trade
Valid Illinois driver’s license and clean driving record
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces
Able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Able to work prolonged periods on scaffolding or ladder
Required to be on-call or respond to after-hours emergencies as scheduled.
May be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results (Background screening by the Government & fingerprinting).
Must meet federal government security clearance standards for onsite work at federal facilities.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification
Experience with commercial or industrial plumbing systems
Backflow Prevention Device Tester certification (optional but preferred)

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, drainage systems, fixtures, and appliances
Read and interpret blueprints, building codes, and schematics
Inspect plumbing systems to identify and repair issues related to leaks, clogs, or inefficiencies
Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings using hand and power tools
Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
Collaborate with other construction professionals such as electricians, HVAC technicians, and general contractors
Maintain compliance with all Illinois Plumbing Code and local ordinances
Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation as required
Respond to emergency calls for plumbing issues outside regular business hours, as needed
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
