About The Position

Advanced Containment Systems, Inc. is hiring Plumbers for its South Houston team. The company manufactures custom transportable products for the restroom and shower trailer, homeland security, abatement, first responder, and military industries. The position performs skilled plumbing work under the direction of an area supervisor and/or lead person in the assigned department. Work includes assembling water supply and drain, waste, and vent (DWV) lines, as well as making common plumbing connections such as sinks and toilets.

The role involves building products to design specifications using drawings, verifying finished goods, maintaining quality, and keeping the work area clean and safe. Most tasks are performed indoors in a shop that is not air-conditioned, with exposure to changes in environmental and weather conditions. The schedule is at least 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week, with a half-hour lunch. The job requires standing throughout the workday and frequently bending, squatting, and pushing, pulling, or lifting materials weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to carry out simple and complex oral and written instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read and understand English.
• Ability to operate hand tools, including drills, grinders, heat guns, and rivet guns.
• Ability to comprehend additional training related to work duties.
• High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to perform work safely and productively.
• Ability to bend, squat, and frequently lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand throughout the workday.

Responsibilities
