About The Position
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance duties throughout the hospital facilities, according to policies, procedures, legislated codes and regulations to support a functional, reliable, safe and comfortable health care environment.
Requirements
- Minimum grade 12 education
- Current Province of Ontario Skilled Trade license in Plumbing and/or equivalent
- Courses in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electricity, Mechanics and CAD/Blue print reading
- Completion of an Apprenticeship program required
- Ability to make decisions on proper use of material and means of effecting repairs
- Flexibility to work all shifts on a rotating basis
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Accept a team atmosphere
- A positive work and attendance record is essential
- Ability to work cross-site
