The Plumber Utility Mechanic I assists in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, plumbing, mechanical piping systems, structural steel, package boiler equipment, water treatment, kitchen equipment, auxiliary equipment, steam, water, and gas systems, and other building mechanical equipment. This role also involves working with auxiliary equipment, steam, water, sewers (both sanitary and storm), irrigation systems, gas and air systems, and other building mechanical equipment. Responsibilities include managing above and underground steam, domestic water, HVAC (chilled and hot water), sanitary and storm distribution systems, and firing, tending, and maintaining pressure boilers to supply heat for buildings and domestic hot water. The position requires driving from site to site.
