About The Position

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Plumber Level I to join our Service Experts HVAC and Plumbing team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of plumbing duties, including installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of plumbing codes and regulations, excellent problem-solving abilities, and strong leadership skills. ‎ Stage tools and consumables for plumbers by job list. Move and position fixtures and parts using carts/lifts as directed; protect finishes. Label parts and bins and maintain order in work areas. Perform basic cleaning of bays and equipment; dispose of debris properly. Hold and steady components during assembly; pass tools/fittings on request. Read and record simple measurements (length, slopes with levels) under supervision. Photograph assemblies and joints for records as instructed. Restock common items (traps, angle stops, supply lines) to par levels. Assist with packaging/returns of cores and unused parts. Learn shop practices and terminology to progress to S2. ‎ Health & Safety Roles & Responsibilities: Reports any unsafe acts, conditions and hazards to direct supervisor/manager immediately Reports any contravention of legislation or company policy, procedure or program to direct supervisor/manager immediately Corrects substandard acts or conditions within area of control Uses and maintains appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) Never removes or renders ineffective any safety guards, devices, or clothing prescribed to be in place or worn Complies with the general rules as prescribed by company program(s) procedure(s) Operates devises or equipment as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) Participates in any safety initiatives, teams, or committees Reports all injuries or incidents as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) immediately Provides input on developing safety initiatives and plans to eliminate exposures that could cause accidents

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program is preferred
  • 0-1 years of experience
  • Proven experience as a Plumber Helper or Apprentice or similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
  • Proficiency in interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Valid plumbing license/certification is preferred
