About The Position

Environmental Air Systems (EAS), a full-service mechanical contractor and a leading HVAC Volumetric Modular Manufacturer and Mechanical Contractor in the Southeastern United States, is seeking a Plumber Helper to join its construction department. They provide solutions for controlling, optimizing, and maintaining large international corporations and facilities in markets such as Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Industrial Manufacturing, Power Generation, and Mission Critical Data Centers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in plumbing, construction, or related fields is a plus but not required.
  • Basic understanding of blueprints and technical drawings is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools used in plumbing work.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50lbs) and work in various industrial environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions accurately.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and techniques.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
  • Basic math skills and proficiency with measurement tools (e.g., tape measure, level).
  • Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels.

Responsibilities

  • Assist plumbers in the installation and maintenance of industrial plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and waste systems.
  • Help with measuring, cutting, and fitting pipes according to specifications and project blueprints.
  • Support the installation of fixtures, valves, and other plumbing components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are stored safely and properly.
  • Follow safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment.
  • Assist in loading and unloading materials, as well as transporting them to job sites.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment as required.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors or lead plumbers.
