About The Position

This is a Water Treatment Service Technician position, not a traditional plumbing apprenticeship. The employee will not work under a licensed plumber or earn plumbing apprenticeship hours. Instead, the role includes a seven-week hands-on training program combining classroom learning, shop time, and field training. Training prepares the employee to install water softeners, filtration systems, and other water treatment equipment in customers’ homes, with a career path for continued growth and advancement. The technician works daily in customers’ homes and businesses to install, diagnose, repair, and service water treatment equipment; explain system use and care; and manage service documentation. The role involves safely operating a company vehicle and using plumbing training, tools, pipe fittings, and other equipment. The position offers hourly wages, commissions, lead fees, bonus opportunities, and benefits after the first of the month following 60 days of employment.

Requirements

Enjoy working with hands, problem solving, and working with customers.
Be naturally handy or mechanically inclined.
Be comfortable working physically and in tight spaces.
Be able to lift 80 pounds.
Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Plumbing or mechanical experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Install new water treatment systems.
Analyze and diagnose customer water quality issues.
Repair water conditioning, drinking water, and related equipment.
Educate customers on system use and care.
Manage service documentation.
Partner with Sales and Customer Service to ensure exceptional service.
Safely operate a company vehicle.
Use power tools, hand tools, pipe fittings, and other equipment to install and service water treatment systems.
Use plumbing training to support daily work.
