About The Position

Kennedy Mechanical is looking to hire a Plumber Apprentice for a large project in Vestal, NY. This position offers on-the-job training and is an excellent opportunity to learn the trade. The work schedule is Monday-Thursday, day shift.

Requirements

• Basic hand tool knowledge
• Self-motivated
• Mechanically inclined
• Verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Reliable transportation
• Lifting, Digging, Climbing Ladders, and Entering Small or Confined Spaces
• Ability to Lift, Pull, Carry, Push up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to complete repetitive tasks which may include overhead or awkward positioning

Responsibilities

• Assist commercial plumbers with installation of plumbing systems
• Work individually and as part of a crew
• Utilization of hand tools
• Assist with installation of components including, but not limited to fixtures, faucets, water heaters, pump systems and accessories, valves, sanitary, storm, water and gas piping systems
• Site clean-up as needed
