About The Position

The PLT Plant 1 Curing Scrap Chaser will monitor all non-conformities throughout the department and make adjustments as needed. This role requires staying in communication with the Tire room regarding any non-conforming materials that need to be quarantined. The Scrap Chaser will also monitor and follow up with uniformity topics and Flash Audits, communicating any adjustments performed. Key responsibilities include making mold and bladder changes, installing recipes, building and tearing down bladders, and maintaining data input. Additionally, the role involves making minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs, performing loader quick checks, squeeze audits, cure cycle audits, and cure temperature audits. The PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must adhere to all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies, and be certified to operate a Forklift. Effective communication with other set-up techs, curing supervision, curing press operators, supplying departments, quality assurance, process engineering, and final finish is essential. The role requires following standard practices to ensure quality and quantity production, keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly, and performing other duties as directed. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is also a key function. Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Must be certified to operate a Fork Life through the Safety Department.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience or Associates Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor all non-conformities throughout the department and make adjustments as needed.

  • Perform loader quick checks, squeeze audits, cure cycle audits, and cure temperature audits.

  • Effectively communicate with other set up techs, curing supervision, curing press operators, supplying departments, quality assurance, process engineering, and final finish.
  • Follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keeping work areas neat, clean, and aligned and orderly.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Curing Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager.
  • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
