About The Position

The PLT Plant 1 Curing Scrap Chaser will monitor all non-conformities throughout the department and make adjustments as needed. They will stay in communication with the Tire room regarding any non-conforming materials that need to be quarantined. The role involves monitoring and following up with uniformity topics, Flash Audits, and communicating any adjustments performed. The PLT Curing Scrap Chaser must be able to perform mold and bladder changes, install recipes, build and tear down bladders, and maintain data input. They will also make minor mechanical adjustments and emergency repairs, perform loader quick checks, squeeze audits, cure cycle audits, and cure temperature audits. The position requires adherence to all plant policies, environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies, including being certified to operate a Forklift. Effective communication with other set-up techs, curing supervision, curing press operators, supplying departments, quality assurance, process engineering, and final finish is essential. The PLT Curing Scrap Chaser will follow standard practices to ensure quality and quantity production, keeping work areas neat, clean, and orderly, and perform other duties as directed. Ensuring all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored is also a key responsibility. Note: This role may not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
Must be certified to operate a Fork Life through the Safety Department.
Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines, including safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.

Responsibilities

Follow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keeping work areas neat, clean, and aligned and orderly.
Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Curing Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager.
Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.
