About The Position

Terrapin is a Clinton County, Penn.-based cannabis company, a pioneer in the emerging industry, operating as a cultivator, processor, and retailer of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. With over 15 years of industry experience, Terrapin was licensed in Pennsylvania in 2017 and has grown to more than 200 employees. The Curing Specialist will collaborate with the Cultivation Manager, Harvest Manager, and Compliance Manager to oversee the curing and testing process, aiming to optimize flower quality. This role reports directly to the Director of Operations. Terrapin, founded in Boulder, Colorado in 2009, is a family-owned cannabis company and was among the first to receive a Pennsylvania medical cannabis grower/processor license in 2017. It is recognized for patient-focused cultivation and production of high-quality medical cannabis products, available in dispensaries across Pennsylvania. The company is committed to corporate responsibility and advancing equity, operating under brands like Double Bear, The Woods, Terrapin, and Resolute Remedies, and plans to expand dispensary operations in Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Experience in cannabis curing at a commercial level
  • 3+ years of cannabis growing experience
  • Familiarity with MJ Freeway or other similar compliance tracking software

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with operating a Cannatrol system highly recommended

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cure room settings with Cannatrol
  • Maintain cleanliness and operations of cure rooms
  • Report on specific strain quality to suggest product pathways
  • Maintain compliance using a centralized tracking system (MJF)
  • Oversee harvested flower and bio testing
  • Prep samples
  • Work with testing lab on results and coordination
  • Partner with production and sales teams to identify inventory needs.
  • Prioritize and manage cure vaults based on harvest dates to ensure the flow of fresh products while minimizing old inventory
  • Adapt processes to various strains, styles, and types of cannabis, and make quality control decisions and adjustments, as necessary
  • Possess the ability to be flexible and work in various sectors of the production department as needed or requested by his/her direct supervisor
  • Other duties as assigned
