About The Position

Continental is hiring a PLT Curing Pre-Cure Prep (PCP) employee in Illinois. The role involves preparing and cleaning molds using a high-pressure dry ice machine, inspecting equipment and work areas for hazards, and moving and organizing equipment. The work is physically demanding and takes place in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment with temperature changes, noise, dust, and forklift and pedestrian traffic. Safety procedures and required protective equipment must be followed at all times. New hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends, and comprehensive training is provided. The hourly rate is $22.22, with eligibility for a quarterly incentive program and shift differentials: $0.20 per hour for overnight shifts, $0.15 per hour for evening shifts, and $1.00 per hour for weekend shifts. Pay is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations. Continental does not offer relocation assistance for this position.

Requirements

0–1 year of manufacturing experience is needed.
A high school diploma or GED is recommended. Applicants without one must complete an In-House Competency Test to be deemed eligible; this applies to non-core jobs only.
Ability to perform heavy work, including frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.

Responsibilities

Set up and inspect the dry ice machine.
Inspect molds, presses, and the surrounding area for hazards.
Operate a forklift to transport equipment.
Operate a high-pressure dry ice machine to clean molds.
Replace and organize dry ice equipment in the store area.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing required protective equipment.
