About The Position
The PLT Curing Pre-Cure Prep (PCP) role prepares and cleans molds using dry ice equipment. The work involves setting up and inspecting a dry ice machine, checking molds, presses, and nearby areas for hazards, operating a forklift to move equipment, and using a high-pressure dry ice machine to clean molds. The role also includes replacing and organizing dry ice equipment in the store area. This is heavy work, including frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 50 pounds, and exposure to heat and some dust. The work takes place in a non-climate-controlled environment with temperature swings, forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Tasks include lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery. Comprehensive training is provided. Safety procedures and guidelines must always be followed, including wearing hearing protection and steel-toe shoes. New hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.
Requirements
- 0–1 year of manufacturing experience needed.
- High school diploma or GED recommended. Applicants without a high school diploma or GED must complete an In-House Competency Test to be deemed eligible for non-core jobs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
- Adhere to safety procedures and wear safety gear, including hearing protection and steel-toe shoes.
Responsibilities
- Set up and inspect the dry ice machine.
- Inspect molds, presses, and surrounding areas for hazards.
- Operate a forklift to transport equipment.
- Operate a high-pressure dry ice machine to clean molds.
- Replace and organize dry ice equipment in the store area.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing required safety gear.
