PLM AI Architect

InfosysHouston, NC
Hybrid

About The Position

Infosys is seeking an PLM AI Architect to interface with stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. The role involves creating high-level design artifacts, delivering high-quality code deliverables for a module, leading validation for all types of testing, and supporting implementation, transition, and warranty activities. This position is part of a learning culture that encourages teamwork and collaboration, rewards excellence, and respects and values diversity.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Richardson, TX or Houston, TX or Raleigh, NC or willing to relocate.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • Experience in PLM (Siemens Teamcenter strongly preferred) and in applied AI/ML solution design and delivery.
  • Solid understanding of data models, lifecycle management, and engineering processes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Candidates authorized to work for any employer in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.
  • Infosys is unable to provide immigration sponsorship for this role at this time.

Nice To Haves

  • Siemens Teamcenter certifications preferred.
  • Experience in industries such as Industrial Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, or High-Tech.
  • Prior experience in roles such as PLM Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or Enterprise Architect.
  • Experience supporting US-based clients in large, regulated, or multi-site environments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the AI strategy within Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments, identifying high-value use cases across the product lifecycle — from design intelligence and BOM management to change automation and data quality.
  • Architect AI-powered solutions that integrate with Teamcenter's data model, APIs, and Active Workspace — including LLM-based assistants, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent search.
  • Design and govern AI/ML pipelines that consume PLM data (parts, BOMs, change orders, attachments) and surface insights or automation back into the Teamcenter ecosystem.
  • Define responsible AI principles for PLM contexts — including model explainability, bias management, data governance, and auditability of AI-driven decisions in regulated engineering environments.
  • Collaborate with PLM solution architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate PLM process pain points into AI problem statements and viable solution designs.
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate AI/ML platforms and tools (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS SageMaker, Hugging Face, Siemens Industrial Copilot) within the PLM technology landscape.
  • Establish AI architecture standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures for PLM AI initiatives across the program.
  • Define PLM data models, data migration strategies, and master data alignment.
  • Ensure data integrity, performance, scalability, and lifecycle traceability across systems.
  • Collaborate with business, engineering, and IT stakeholders to validate decisions.
  • Work closely with Siemens and other technology vendors to align on product capabilities and roadmaps.
  • Support sales and pursuit teams by contributing to solution architectures, estimates, and technical responses.
