The ideal candidate can trace control faults from HMI to PLC to drive, implement permanent fixes, and translate complex schematics into actionable steps for the team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/equivalent and an apprenticeship or equivalent training (required).
  • 5+ years in industrial maintenance with extensive automation/controls work.
  • Comfort with Microsoft apps, Outlook, SAP, and related tools.
  • Knowledge of OSHA Electrical Standards and NEC.
  • Root-cause troubleshooting mindset and strong logic.
  • Self-starter who communicates clearly and works well under tight deadlines.
  • Proven collaborator in team settings.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s in maintenance or industrial technology (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Drive a zero-incident culture; support investigations, correct unsafe acts/conditions, and coach others using every incident or near-miss as a teachable moment.
  • In-depth troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, and motor drives—Allen‑Bradley required plus at least one alternative platform (Mitsubishi, Schneider, GE, Opto, etc.).
  • Edit ladder diagrams and validate code changes.
  • Calibrate and repair instruments; perform electrical/electronic installs and modifications, including drives and programmable controllers.
  • Apply AC vector and servo drive theory to commissioning, tuning, and diagnostics.
  • Work across AC/DC systems and sinking/sourcing I/O; leverage basic hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, and PC hardware.
  • Read and create/modify wiring diagrams, schematics, and specifications; use CAD tools (AutoCad, Vizio).
  • Maintain technical procedures, manuals, and accurate as-built records.
  • Use PDCA to reach root cause; implement countermeasures that prevent recurrence and improve uptime.
  • Provide top-tier technical support to shift electricians; deliver training across the organization; supervise contractors to minimize downtime.
