About The Position

The PLC/HMI Programmer supports SJE’s Altronex brand by developing PLC code and HMI graphics for control systems that manage the movement of water and wastewater. Work includes programming new panels and motor control centers (MCCs) during in-house manufacturing, as well as making custom modifications to control systems already in operation. The role uses Microsoft Excel to organize programming functions. Work is primarily independent, with team support and collaboration available as needed. The position is on-site at the Madison, Wisconsin location and is not hybrid or remote.

Requirements

• Experience programming Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
• Comfort with CompactLogix, MicroLogix, and some ControlLogix.
• Experience with PanelView, Maple, Automation Direct, and Wonderware HMI programs.
• Self-starter.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• A two-year degree in Automation Technology or an equivalent degree.
• Five or more years of experience.

Responsibilities
