About The Position

Pay r ange: Starting at $ 16.52 - $19.00 (PT-1) Location: The Town of Cohasset is seeking support staff for the Recreation Department's summer program . This position reports to the summer program directors and the Recreation Director. Description of r esponsibilities: Support Staff : Junior counselors (ages 15-16) can assist the program from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (or 3:15 pm). Their primary role is supporting the staff and assisting children to and from the swim center, swimming lessons, and chaperone field trips. The pay range starts at $16.52 per hour. The primary responsibility of all the staff is to supervise and lead children aged 5-10 through the Playground program and aged 10-14 through the Xtreme Program activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts, songs, dance, drama, and field trips while ensuring a safe, supervised environment. Additional duties include supporting the director and coordinators, participating in training sessions, maintaining records such as weekly attendance and accident reports, and ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility and grounds. Staff will also enforce Recreation Department rules and policies related to the program and deliver exceptional customer service to both patrons and fellow staff members We are dedicated to building a diverse and committed team with a positive group dynamic, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for the children in our program. Requirements

  • All applicants must hold a current CPR certification.
