About The Position

Big Canyon Country Club provides an entry-level hospitality role for a motivated, detail-oriented individual seeking to gain hands-on experience at a premier private equity facility. Founded in 1971, our club is dedicated to delivering world-class service standards to our members and guests. As we navigate the final stages of a comprehensive golf course renovation led by architect Andrew Green, our Player Services team serves as the vital first and last point of contact for everyone stepping onto our grounds. This role primary focuses on maintaining immaculate practice facilities, delivering seamless bag room support, and executing elite member service. Reporting directly to the Outside Service Manager, this position offers foundational exposure to high-end private club operations. You will work alongside a dedicated team, receiving direct guidance in luxury hospitality, operational logistics, and private club service standards.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be available for flexible part-time shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holiday periods.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, perform physical duties in varying weather conditions, and lift or carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Excellent communication skills, a polite demeanor, and a clean, professional appearance that reflects our club values.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior private club or golf background is a plus, but a strong service mindset is most essential.

Responsibilities

  • Setup, maintain, and teardown the practice range daily; operate range vehicles to collect golf balls, detail-wash inventory, and maintain a clean and organized practice facility.
  • Greet members and guests by name, assist with golf bag delivery and retrieval, detail clubs, and ensure all gear is stored safely and accurately.
  • Utilize our bag storage system to accurately log, organize, and store member golf bags in their assigned spaces, ensuring zero misplacement.
  • Pull, clean, and stage member and guest golf bags on carts or at the staging area well in advance of their scheduled tee times or tournament starts.
  • Greet members as they complete their play, perform a thorough club cleaning and towel-wipe on all equipment, verify headcovers are secured, and return the set to its assigned bag room location.
  • Prepare, inspect, and maintain rental sets and guest equipment, ensuring all clubs are complete, detailed, and ready for immediate play.
  • Keep the bag storage facility clean, secure, climate-controlled, and immaculately organized, maintaining clear pathways and a professional presentation at all times.
  • Maintain our cart fleet in show-quality condition through continuous cleaning, detailing, staging, and charging; keep range sheds, staging areas, and bag rooms organized, clean, and secure.
  • Monitor practice area safety, arrange range furniture precisely, and ensure all operational areas meet club standards.
