About The Position

Hampton Parks, Recreation & Leisure Services is seeking motivated candidates to provide exceptional hospitality to players of the Hamptons Golf Course. Player Assistants monitor the course for flow of play, courteously enforce on-course rules and regulations, tend to player inquiries and needs, and assure overall guest satisfaction on the course, all from a golf cart. This position is perfect for retirees or students with knowledge of the game of golf. However, all candidates are welcome as training will be provided. Always meticulously maintained, this 27-hole championship course offers varied elevations, gently rolling terrain, expansive fairways, inviting par threes, and Bentgrass greens. A beautiful combination of ornamental grasses, lakes, wildflowers and waterfalls - all home to a variety of birds and waterfowl - provide inspiring surroundings throughout the course.

Requirements

Graduation from high school or successful completion of the GED
Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of application
Must successfully pass a background check related to this position prior to any offer of employment or promotion
Requires shift work to include nights, weekends and holidays
The incumbent may be considered “essential personnel” during city emergency situations, or at the direction of the City Manager or designee which may include long hours and unusual schedules
