About The Position

The Play Center Attendant is responsible for providing respectful, professional, and positive service to all interactions with co-workers, customers, and the public. This role involves maintaining a positive and productive environment, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and assisting patrons with program registration and inquiries. The attendant will also complete required reports, meet the special needs of participants, establish effective working relationships, implement new programs, coach and mentor participants, and monitor participant safety while maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures. Ancillary duties include relieving superiors of routine administrative tasks and performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior relevant experience desired.
  • Ability to develop a basic competency level in the area of operation.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and systems to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with supervisors, co-workers, and customers by telephone, in writing, and in person.
  • Ability to use good judgment and think rationally in difficult or stressful situations.
  • Ability to develop goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work, as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in the use of basic business software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations) and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Regular attendance is a necessary and essential job duty.
  • Job requires being reliable, responsible and dependable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, professional, positive service in all interactions.
  • Maintain a positive and productive environment ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
  • Assist patrons in registering and participating in programs and answer patron inquiries.
  • Complete required reports, including facility-tracking reports, incident reports, and accident reports.
  • Meet special needs of participants by modifying assignments and activities and providing general assistance as needed.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patrons utilizing programs and the facility.
  • Implement and design new programs.
  • Coach and mentor participants.
  • Monitor participant safety and maintain working knowledge of emergency plans and evacuation procedures.
  • Relieve superiors of routine administrative tasks.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
