About The Position

Volt is hiring a Plating Technician for its electroless plating line in Sun Valley, California. The role involves preparing and inspecting parts, monitoring plating operations and chemical levels, carrying out quality checks, maintaining equipment, and completing process documentation. Technicians must follow safety procedures, including proper PPE use and chemical handling, and support other tasks as assigned. Spanish-speaking ability is required. The listed pay is $18.47 per hour; compensation offered may vary based on factors such as education, experience, location, duties, and certifications. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime, across one of three shifts: first shift, 5:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m.; second shift, 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m.; or third shift, 9:00 p.m.–5:30 a.m.

Requirements

• Must speak Spanish.
• Able to follow written procedures accurately.

• Pays close attention to detail and stays organized.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Background in plating or chemistry lab work is a bonus.
• Eager to learn and take initiative.
• Familiarity with basic manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the electroless plating line.
• Inspect and prepare parts for plating according to established guidelines.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the plating process.
• Complete documentation and process records accurately.
• Monitor and adjust plating bath chemical levels as needed.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Comply with safety procedures, including proper PPE use and chemical handling.
• Support additional tasks and team needs as assigned.
