About The Position

This role involves operating vacuum chambers to coat parts with aluminum according to customer specifications. The technician will be responsible for following procedures, inspecting parts before and after coating, taking measurements, and ensuring quality standards are met. The position requires working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Regular attendance and adherence to safety protocols are essential. The role may also involve assisting with equipment maintenance and cleaning.

Requirements

Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
Self-motivated and Problem-Solver attitude.
Strong Attention to detail and proactive communicator.
Capable of working with minimal supervision and demonstrates initiative.
Strong communications skills.
Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, or kneel.
Must be physically able to regularly lift parts of 10 lbs. or more.

Responsibilities

Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
Review and follow procedures as outlined on job cards indicating customer specification.
Fill and operate Vacuum Chambers to coat parts in aluminum per the required specifications.
Inspects masked/taped parts prior to coating.
Coats test pieces and convey to lab and Quality Department for inspection per customer specifications.
Takes dimensional measurement after base/final coating is applied.
Inspects thickness of coated parts.
Work in a dynamic, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Communicate and work well in a diverse environment.
Assisting in the daily maintenance and quarterly cleaning of our Vacuum Chambers.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
Fill out all related paperwork, i.e., routers and/or internal records, accurately.
Keep work area clean.
Adhere to all company safety rules and practices and wears protective equipment as directed.
