About The Position

Vishay Dale Electronics in Columbus, Nebraska, is seeking a Plating Process Engineer to provide plating process engineering for the Resistors and Inductors Division's North American U.S. operations. The role focuses on plating processes involving chemical reactions, coatings mixing, and related environmental and waste-treatment responsibilities. The position also supports paint room technicians and requires spending at least eight hours per week in Plant #2, where coatings are made. The engineer formulates plating solutions and documents their use, maintenance, and disposal; develops methods to analyze solutions and determine suitable operating characteristics and deviation ranges; and maintains formulation, analysis-method, and results documentation. The position provides onsite direction and training to laboratory, quality assurance, production, and maintenance personnel, and teaches plating techniques and housekeeping practices that promote safety and prevent solution contamination. The role is responsible for chemical storage, disposal, effluent treatment and monitoring, and the waste material treatment plant.
