Plating Line Operator
About The Position
This position is responsible for processing parts in tanks according to specifications, work orders, and other requirements. The operator will calculate the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts, remove parts from tanks after the specified time, rinse them, and immerse them in a bath before finishing processing. The role also involves completing required paperwork, overseeing and assisting line assistants to optimize throughput, evaluating and logging preventative maintenance on the processing line, and ensuring correct disposal of hazardous waste material. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Vision (Near, Distance)
- Sense of Sound - Able to hear in normal audio range
- Sense of Touch
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety Glasses
Responsibilities
- Process parts in tanks according to specifications, work order and other requirements
- Calculates the appropriate amount of time needed to process parts
- Removes parts from tank after specified time, rinses parts and immerse them in bath before finishing processing
- Completes paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines
- Oversee and assist all line assistants to optimize throughput
- Evaluate and log all preventative maintenance on processing line
- Ensure all hazardous waste material is disposed of correctly
- Other duties as assigned
