About The Position

Apply DevSecOps expertise to integrate and enhance security in software delivery pipelines, fortify mission-critical systems, and support compliance with Department of War cybersecurity mandates. The role serves as a technical expert in secure development practices and continuous improvement across the CI/CD ecosystem. The engineer evolves secure CI/CD pipelines by integrating and automating security tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, and container scanning; improves vulnerability detection and remediation workflows; hardens infrastructure-as-code templates, including Terraform; and enforces policy-as-code. The role also conducts risk assessments and contributes to system security plans and continuous ATO efforts. Working with development, operations, and security teams, the engineer supports secure software delivery, monitors pipeline activity for anomalies, assists with security incident response, and champions zero trust principles throughout the SDLC. The position is hybrid and based in McLean, Virginia.
