Platform & Marketing Analyst

March CapitalSanta Monica, CA
$95,000 - $115,000Onsite

About The Position

We're looking for someone who is smart, resourceful, and moves fast, someone who can manage the operational details while understanding the impact of their work. If you care about technology, people, and how good marketing drives real business outcomes, this is a role where that mindset gets put to work every day. You'll manage the infrastructure that keeps our network running, help identify and cultivate relationships with the right founders, investors, and corporate strategics, and execute the marketing and communications that scale those relationships over time. Driving revenue and attendance for The Montgomery Summit, the firm's annual tentpole event and its most powerful platform for this work, will be a central focus. You’ll join the small but mighty Platform & Marketing team at March Capital and work closely with all teams across the firm.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in tech, startups, venture capital, or a related environment where resourcefulness and speed are table stakes.
  • Background in one or more of: revenue operations, marketing, sales, analytics, communications & PR, social media & newsletter, community management, partnerships, or creative event production.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data science, computer science, or a related field.
  • Experience running marketing campaigns & analytics, and tracking conversions, reach, and engagement across platforms with a demonstrated ability to turn those insights into action.
  • Advanced proficiency across Microsoft Office products; in particular Excel.
  • Familiarity with email marketing (Mailchimp) and proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite).
  • Hands-on experience with Claude, ChatGPT and other AI platforms to make operations more efficient and effective, with a strong interest in building an AI-native operating unit.

Nice To Haves

  • Intellectually curious and commercially minded.
  • Relentlessly organized and a clear communicator, in writing, on email, and in person.
  • A builder, not just a user, when it comes to AI.
  • You see what needs to happen and make it happen. You’re high-horsepower and low-ego.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape who’s in the room at The Montgomery Summit, supporting the marketing and outreach strategy that drives attendance, revenue, and the right mix of founders, investors, and strategics.
  • Manage a complex, multi-segment attendee pipeline from first touch through registration, balancing list hygiene and operational detail with a strategic eye for who moves the needle for March Capital and its portfolio.
  • Support the VP of Platform & Marketing and Investment Partners in building, maintaining, and deepening the firm’s most important relationships year-round.
  • Generate and maintain weekly reporting on registration, revenue, and campaign performance to track progress against goals.
  • Research, test, and help deploy AI-powered workflows that improve how the team operates — from outreach automation to content generation to data pipelines. You should be comfortable getting hands-on with AI tools, not just using them at a surface level.
  • Analyze network data — demographics, engagement, conversion — to recommend targeted campaigns and create segmented materials across key attendee groups. Measure paid and organic campaign performance to help refine messaging and inform strategy.
  • Hold responsibility for increasing engagement and follower count for March Capital & The Montgomery Summit social pages, e.g. manage LinkedIn Sales Navigator & LinkedIn’s ‘invite to follow’ processes.
