About The Position

The Find My team builds a seamless, private, and secure experience for users to locate their devices and personal items and share their location with friends and family. The team collaborates across hardware, software, privacy, and other disciplines to serve hundreds of millions of users worldwide.

The Platform Engineer will lead partner integrations end-to-end, from initial scoping and architecture through pilots and final enablement. The role bridges external technical partners with core platform engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams. As a hands-on generalist, the engineer will write code and collaborate externally and internally to turn complex partner requirements into scalable solutions. The role includes building high-impact proofs of concept, guiding pilot integrations, establishing operational processes, tooling, and documentation, and influencing the platform roadmap using real-world partner feedback. The work takes place in a fast-paced, startup-like environment focused on continuous iteration and improvement.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software development experience with one or more modern programming languages, such as Python, Swift, Java, or TypeScript.
• Ability to adopt new technologies quickly.
• Track record of leading technical partner engagements and navigating ambiguity to deliver prototypes, reference architectures, and documentation.
• Deep technical understanding of REST/gRPC APIs, webhooks, event streaming, modern authentication protocols such as OAuth and mTLS, and cloud/distributed systems.
• Experience leveraging modern AI-assisted tools to accelerate prototyping, process automation, and daily productivity.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including presenting technical concepts to engineering teams and non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Experience launching early-stage developer platforms or API products from zero to one.
• Track record of building reference implementations, technical documentation, and repeatable processes to scale platform adoption and mature early-stage products.
• Strong product and developer-experience sensibility, including synthesizing partner feedback and telemetry into actionable product requirements.
