About The Position

As a Platform Engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. On our team, you’ll hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform experience, you’ll support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process. You’ll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you’ll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.

Requirements

3+ years of experience with software development or programming in a DevOps environment
1+ years of experience with automation tools, including Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or Puppet
Knowledge of architecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
TS/SCI clearance
Bachelor's degree
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certification within 30 days of start date

Nice To Haves

Experience managing Git-based version control systems and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, including GitLab and GitHub
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as CI/CD
Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
Leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
Agile Certification

Responsibilities

Develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities.
Develop container management software to solve client challenges.
Improve client environments with current container software for seamless orchestration.
Inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.
Recommend resources to help clients manage and securely adopt containers.
Support the development of critical cloud platforms.
