About The Position

The Platform Engineer is a hands-on member of Neogen’s Platform Engineering team within the Software and Firmware Engineering organization. The role supports Neogen Analytics, Neogen’s SaaS platform for food safety customers, and builds shared infrastructure, automation, deployment capabilities, and self-service tools for internal product teams and external development partners. The engineer treats the platform as an internal product: understanding developer needs, creating reusable solutions, and establishing practical standards and paved paths for cloud infrastructure, software delivery, observability, security, and operational support. The position balances production support and operational responsibilities with developing platform capabilities that improve reliability, security, developer productivity, and scalability. As the first U.S.-based Platform Engineer, the role provides U.S. business-hours coverage in partnership with Platform Engineering colleagues in Dublin. The position is based in Oakdale, Minnesota. In-person work is preferred, and regular onsite collaboration is expected. Flexible scheduling may be available based on business and team needs. The role works closely with Platform Engineering team members in Dublin and supports Neogen Analytics and related platform services during U.S. business hours.
