About The Position

Wispr is an AI research and product company building voice interfaces for computing, including Flow and Notetaker. The Platform Engineer, Developer Experience will own systems that help Wispr engineers build, test, and ship confidently as the company scales. The role focuses on improving CI/CD, testing environments, and local development workflows, as well as making agentic coding tools more effective in everyday engineering. The work is intended to provide teams with faster, more trustworthy feedback and reduce friction across client and backend codebases.

Requirements

Experience building and operating developer tooling, CI/CD systems, or internal platforms at a hyper-scaling company that other engineers relied on.
Experience making complex build, test, or development workflows faster and more dependable.
Ability to debug problems across application code, infrastructure, and development environments.
Deep use of agentic coding tools and clear ideas about how to improve their effectiveness.
Ability to work closely with engineers to understand their needs and build tools they choose to use.
Ability to take ownership from identifying a problem through shipping, adoption, and ongoing reliability.

Responsibilities

Build and operate fast, reliable CI/CD pipelines, improving build times, failure diagnostics, and release workflows.
Create isolated, reproducible environments for testing onboarding, dictation, Notetaker, and other core experiences.
Make local setup, testing, and debugging straightforward, with consistent behavior across development and CI.
Improve the environments, context, and tooling that help coding agents make changes and verify their work.
Identify recurring sources of engineering friction and measure improvements in feedback time, reliability, and manual effort.
