Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience managing production AWS environments at scale.
  • Proven track record of Kubernetes cluster administration and troubleshooting.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining Terraform-based infrastructure.
  • Background in CI/CD pipeline development and release engineering processes.
  • Prior oncall experience with demonstrated incident response capabilities.
  • Experience working in distributed, global team environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or equivalent).
  • Background in GitOps methodologies (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Exposure to secrets management solutions (HashiCorp Vault).
  • Multi-region or multi-account AWS architecture experience.
  • Prior experience in follow-the-sun support models.
  • Familiarity with enterprise compliance and security requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain 99.9% uptime for critical platform services.
  • Reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR) for platform incidents by 20%. Implement automated recovery mechanisms for common failure scenarios.
  • Achieve 100% infrastructure-as-code coverage for new deployments.
  • Reduce deployment time by 30% through CI/CD pipeline optimization. Implement GitOps workflows for all production environments.
  • Support successful onboarding of new customers on the Fabric platform.
  • Enable EA (Enterprise Archive) tenant deployments with minimal lead time. Develop and maintain self-service capabilities for common provisioning tasks.
  • Establish reliable US-timezone oncall coverage for platform services.
  • Enable follow-the-sun support model with seamless handoffs between regions. Achieve sub-30-minute response time for P1/P2 incidents during US hours.
