About The Position

The Platform Engineer, Spa & Leisure is responsible for the technical ownership, engineering, integration, support, and lifecycle management of the Spa, Wellness, Membership, and Leisure technology platforms across Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. This role reports to the Director, Hotel Information Systems and acts as the primary technical subject matter expert for assigned platforms, ensuring system reliability, security, performance, scalability, and alignment with business and enterprise technology standards. The Platform Engineer partners closely with business stakeholders, vendors, infrastructure teams, security teams, and hotel technology teams to deliver platform enhancements, upgrades, integrations, and innovative guest-facing solutions. The successful candidate combines strong application engineering expertise with operational knowledge of hospitality and leisure technologies and is passionate about driving continuous improvement through technology.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications.
• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, systems administration, application management, or technical product ownership.
• Managing SaaS and cloud-based solutions.
• Troubleshooting integrations, APIs, and data exchange processes.
• Working with software vendors and technical implementation partners.
• Knowledge of Book4Time or comparable Spa & Wellness management platforms is preferred.
• Experience within hospitality, leisure, wellness, club, or membership operations.
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Microsoft, cloud, integration, or platform-related certifications are considered an asset.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
• Agile Methodology certifications preferred.
• Platform Engineering and Application Management.
• Ability to understand, document, and support system integrations and enterprise data flows.
• Technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner for Spa, Wellness, Membership, and Leisure technology platforms.
• Define and maintain platform roadmaps in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders.
• Ensure platform performance, availability, scalability, and security standards are met.
• Manage platform configuration standards, environments, and technical documentation.
• Evaluate new product capabilities and determine technical suitability for Four Seasons.
• Establish and maintain technical governance for assigned platforms.
• Design, document, and support integrations between Spa, PMS, POS, CRM, Loyalty, Payments, Finance, and other enterprise platforms.
• Collaborate with enterprise architecture and integration teams to ensure alignment with technology standards.
• Analyze system interfaces, data flows, dependencies, and integration performance.
• Support API management, middleware solutions, and integration troubleshooting.
• Participate in architecture reviews and technology assessments.
• Lead technical planning and execution of platform upgrades, releases, enhancements, and migrations.
• Manage platform environments including sandbox, testing, training, and production instances.
• Review vendor roadmaps and assess impacts of product releases.
• Coordinate testing and deployment activities with hotels, business teams, and technology teams.
• Support new hotel openings, conversions, and major renovation projects from a systems perspective.
• Manage relationship with Book4Time and other third-party vendors.
• Influence product roadmap and advocate for enhancements.
• Coordinate with system integrators and third-party vendors.
• Act as escalation point for critical platform issues.
• Act as first level of support for complex platform-related issues.
• Troubleshoot application issues, integration failures, performance concerns, and system outages.
• Work with vendors to resolve incidents and identify root causes.
• Monitor system health, service levels, and platform performance trends.
• Maintain known issue repositories and technical knowledge bases.
• Ensure service continuity and support operational excellence across all properties.
• Partner with Cyber Security and Infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
• Support PCI, privacy, audit, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
• Evaluate platform vulnerabilities and remediation recommendations.
• Participate in risk assessments and technical reviews.
• Ensure secure management of integrations, credentials, and data exchanges.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and technology enhancements.
• Research emerging technologies within hospitality, wellness, and membership industries.
• Recommend innovative solutions that enhance guest experiences and operational effectiveness.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across assigned platforms.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
