Rox is building the AI-native revenue operating system. Most enterprise software was built for humans operating dashboards. Rox is built for agents operating systems. Instead of static workflows, Rox runs continuous decision loops powered by real-time context from across the enterprise. Agents analyze signals, reason about them, and take action — automatically. To make that possible, we are building infrastructure that combines elements of: Distributed data platforms, Real-time decision systems, Agent execution frameworks, Low-latency context retrieval, Platform tooling and developer infrastructure. We’re backed by Sequoia, GV, and General Catalyst and building a small team of engineers who want to work on hard technical systems problems with real-world impact. The Foundations team builds the platform and infrastructure powering Rox agents. We own the systems responsible for: Real-time context ingestion, Agent execution and orchestration, Reliability for long-horizon AI tasks, Developer infrastructure and platform tooling, Observability and operational excellence, Low-latency decisioning across distributed systems. If you’ve worked on systems like: Internal developer platforms, Cloud infrastructure and platform tooling, Streaming compute platforms, Distributed query engines, Real-time data systems, Scalable backend infrastructure, many of the problems here will feel familiar — but applied to a new category of AI-native software. At Rox, agents are constantly: Retrieving context, Making decisions, Triggering actions, Updating state. The Foundations team builds the infrastructure and platform capabilities that make those loops reliable, observable, scalable, and easy for product teams to build on. We are hiring a Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate the infrastructure and internal platform behind Rox’s agent runtime. This role sits at the intersection of: Platform engineering, Cloud infrastructure, Distributed systems, Real-time data infrastructure, Agent orchestration, Developer productivity. You will work across both foundational infrastructure and the developer platform experience — helping teams ship quickly while ensuring systems remain reliable, scalable, and observable in production. This is a strong fit for engineers who enjoy owning systems end-to-end: from infrastructure primitives and runtime reliability to deployment workflows, tooling, and operational excellence. Rox is building a new category of software where AI agents continuously reason, decide, and act in production environments. That requires infrastructure and platform systems that look different from traditional SaaS architectures. You’ll help build the foundation that enables engineers — and eventually agents themselves — to operate reliably at scale.
