About The Position

This person will help build, test, and maintain the infrastructure and tools to allow for the speedy development and release of software. Work closely with development, and operations teams to automate processes, enhance system reliability, and improve deployment pipelines. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with Ansible, and passionate about automation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Polygraph security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • Ten (10) years' experience as a Platform Engineer
  • Five (5) years' experience supporting and installing on Linux, Unix, Windows, or Cisco OS operation systems
  • One (1) year experience configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and testing a messaging service (such as Java Messaging Service, TIBCO, ActiveMQ, Artemis, Kafka)
  • One (1) year experience building/installing packages such as .iso and RedHat Package Managers (rpm)
  • Three (3) years' experience each supporting three (3) of the following tools/topics: Puppet, Ansible, clustering solutions, writing scripts, building, and maintaining storage arrays
  • One (1) year experience creating and maintaining virtual machines (for example, using VMWARE)
  • Ability to run Security Scans on systems (such as Nessus)
  • Ability to provide documentation for Security accreditation

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years’ experience using configuration management tools (such as GIT, Confluence, Redmine) for document repository, software repository, and building software
  • Four (4) years’ experience configuring, troubleshooting, monitoring, and testing TIBCO EMS or ActiveMQ messaging
  • CWIP IAT Level II Certification, CWIP IA Baseline Certification

Responsibilities

  • Ensure platform security, compliance, and adherence to best practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and platform-related issues
  • Design, build, and maintain internal platforms that support application development and deployment
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability using observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Automate operational processes to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve developer experience and deployment workflows
