About The Position

Sensor Tower’s digital intelligence platform provides unparalleled insight into market trends, advertising, competitor’s strategies, and consumer/user audience across mobile, web, and gaming. Sensor Tower’s insights are trusted by more than 2,500 enterprises worldwide across tech, retail/commerce, entertainment/media, gaming, consumer packaged goods, finance, and investment. We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to improve the infrastructure, developer tooling, and delivery workflows used by more than 100 engineers. The role combines infrastructure and software development, with an approximate 65/35 split. You’ll work on cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, observability, CI/CD, and internal tooling. The goal is to make development and releases more reliable, efficient, and straightforward.

Requirements

  • Experience developing and maintaining complex CI/CD workflows.
  • Software development experience, such as building internal tools, APIs, backend services, or automation.
  • Experience with AWS or another cloud provider.
  • Telemetry and monitoring experience (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Kibana).
  • Strong Computer Science and System Design fundamentals.
  • Willingness to learn and use Ruby and/or Go.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience optimizing CI build times, especially with Jenkins.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Ruby, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with build systems such as Webpack or Gradle.
  • You don’t need to know every technology in our stack. We value strong technical fundamentals, curiosity, and the ability to work on different types of engineering problems.

Responsibilities

  • Improve developer experience and engineering productivity by building tools and workflows that make it easier for engineers to develop, test, and ship software.
  • Maintain infrastructure automation with Ansible, Terraform, and Terragrunt.
  • Improve the reliability and performance of our CI/CD workflows.
  • Find the causes of slow builds, failed pipelines, and flaky tests.
  • Develop internal tools, improve test infrastructure, and occasionally work on product features.
  • Improve observability across our infrastructure and delivery workflows using OpenTelemetry, ELK.
  • Leverage AI to improve engineering workflows by building cloud-based agent tools and helping teams adopt effective practices.
