About The Position

Unlock the future with Vantor! Join a platform team supporting multi-site Red Hat OpenShift clusters and NetApp-backed storage services. You will help operate and improve platform reliability, lifecycle management, automation, security, and recovery capabilities while partnering with storage, network, security, and development teams. The role supports mission-critical workloads in a secure or disconnected environment.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active TS/SCI with a CI poly clearance (or ability to obtain a CI poly)
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, systems administration, DevOps, infrastructure, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Additional years of experience commiserate in lieu of a degree.
Production experience operating Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
Experience supporting production OpenShift environments, including several of the following: cluster lifecycle management, upgrades, Operators, node pools, ingress, registries, and troubleshooting.
Infrastructure automation using Ansible, Terraform, scripting, or GitOps.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Argo CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
Monitoring, alerting, incident response, capacity management, and operational runbook development.
Capable of working effectively with geographically distributed operations and development teams
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and teams in written and oral forums
Willingness to work 90% or as needed in a SCIF environment with some on-call or after-hours onsite support for customer’s mission

Nice To Haves

Experience integrating OpenShift with enterprise storage.
Familiarity with NetApp ONTAP, Astra Trident, NFS, iSCSI, or CSI-based storage is a plus.
Security hardening and compliance in restricted, disconnected, or classified environments.
Strong scripting or programming skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Go)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Understanding of networking, security, and Linux systems administration
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud platform architectures
Background in SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) practices
Experience working with geospatial technology and tools
CompTIA Security+ or comparable certification for privileged user access.
Experience in/or supporting military/intelligence or knowledge of some IC PED systems is a plus!

Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery
Implement infrastructure as code
Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and optimize systems
Develop and maintain platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities
Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability and reliability
Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards
Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts and ideas effectively.
