This role involves collaborating with multiple teams to build, deploy, and support large-scale containerized workload platforms in global private cloud datacenters and public cloud providers. The position requires delivering highly secure and efficient solutions within comprehensive compliance regulations, balancing operational requirements and business priorities. The engineer will integrate various technologies for monitoring, alerting, and reporting, aiming for tangible improvements in performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. A key aspect is supporting software development teams with onboarding and using container-based solutions, identifying requirements gaps, and recommending practical improvements. The role operates within an agile framework, balancing sprint-based work with daily operational needs. The engineer will lead extensive platform engineering efforts with little supervision, focusing on delivery, quality, operational readiness, and continuous advancement across multiple systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving complex problems, delivering root-cause analysis, and leading architecture and build reviews for container platform capabilities. The role also involves owning full-system builds for platform services and serving as a technical leader for complex platform initiatives, leading cross-team discussions and providing recommendations to senior collaborators. Participation in an on-call rotation and partnering with third-party vendors are also expected.
