About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking an experienced, full-stack data engineer to build and maintain data platforms and pipelines for mission-driven client projects. The role involves organizing disparate structured and unstructured data, developing scalable analytics systems, and building data applications ranging from engineering back ends to interactive front ends. Work may support missions such as fraud detection, cancer research, national intelligence, and U.S. Navy logistics analytics.

The engineer will work in a fast-paced, agile, multidisciplinary team and collaborate closely with clients to understand their questions and data needs. The position includes exploring and examining data, assessing and designing platforms, implementing data engineering activities, and delivering production-quality code and analytics that help clients make informed decisions. Work may take place alongside teammates in classified environments. The role requires a Secret clearance and a bachelor's degree in a STEM field.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in software development, data engineering, or data science, delivering enterprise-scale solutions with measurable business impact.
• At least 2 years of experience using Python for data work and leveraging standard libraries or technologies such as TypeScript, JavaScript, NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, and PySpark.
• At least 2 years of experience breaking complex problems into technical solutions based on customer requirements.
• At least 1 year of experience building visualization front ends, such as analytics dashboards or interactive GUI applications and web apps.
• At least 1 year of experience communicating technical solutions to non-technical customers and stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Experience adhering to and championing SDLC best practices, including requirements management, testing, change control, and release processes.
• Knowledge of DoW enterprise platforms such as War Data Platform, ADVANA, Palantir Foundry, Maven Smart Systems, or Microsoft Power Platform.
• Ability to manage tasks and projects independently with minimal guidance and direction.
• Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with distributed data and computing tools such as Databricks.
• Experience with generative AI techniques, including LLMs.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, and Angular frameworks.
• Experience writing production-level code for maximal efficiency, speed, and reliability.
• Experience working with high-ranking military personnel.
• Top Secret clearance.
• Master's degree in a STEM field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.

Responsibilities
