About The Position

This position is responsible for the inspection of parts before, during, and after processing. The Plater will competently operate all machinery and instruments necessary to safely perform the job function, including routine maintenance. Fork truck training is available for designated employees. The role requires maintaining a clean and safe work environment, locating and understanding relevant Quality system documentation in the Valence computer system, and understanding and performing steps defined in the Valence ROUTER. This includes following Valence procedures for correctly filling out routers, making corrections for input mistakes, and notifying a superior for all other router-related problems. The Plater must be able to competently process parts with little or no supervision and practice behavior that avoids damage to parts and protects them from damage. This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and applicants must meet ITAR requirements prior to employment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read process traveler and fill out completed operations
  • Ability to perform simple cleaning operations
  • Ability to assist as a helper to trained operators
  • Able to follow verbal and written direction.
  • Able to use basic hand tools such as wrenches and clamps
  • Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work under direct supervision.
  • Must meet ITAR requirements.
