Requirements

• Experience in plating processing knowledge.
• Wear Safety Glasses
• Handling of chemicals and or hazardous waste
• Wear proper PPE when making chemical adds or new bath make-up
• Mathematical aptitude
• In-House Training – LECO Instructed Basic Quality Skills
• Right-To-Know Training
• Cyanide Training
• Operate Forklift Truck and obtain LECO forklift license.
• Blueprint Reading
• Safe Operation Training of Riding Hoist, semi-automatic hoist

Responsibilities

• Racking various sized parts onto racks that are stationed on a bus bar/cart.
• Suspending and processing parts by using and operating an automatic riding hoist, manual crane hoist, or hand dip using hooks holding the parts into plating baths.
• Perform bath analysis, chemical adds, and tank maintenance.
• Pre-Plate Surface Finish such as bead blast, polishing and buffing.
• Maintain high standard of quality through collecting samples of plating baths, performing bath analysis to ensure the bath parameters are in operating range, and recording results.
• Process work orders to daily scheduling provided by the Plating/Paint Supervisor.
