About The Position

Provides plate cleaning and sleeve support duties to the PrePress department.

Requirements

• Ability to organize plates by engraving number
• Ability to separate plates with foam liner
• Ability to tag plates with engraving number
• Ability to stack plates neatly using a foam pad
• Ability to place proper identification on plates
• Ability to collect dirty or used plates and move to plate washing area
• Ability to store plates in designated staging area
• Ability to remove plates from package
• Ability to run dirty plates through plate washer
• Ability to repack plates with production order to be sent to inventory
• Ability to perform scheduled changing of washing fluid
• Ability to keep work area clean and organized at all times
• Ability to strip plates on other jobs while sleeve washer is running

Responsibilities

• Strips plates from sleeves after jobs are complete
• Strips sticky back from sleeves
• Organizes plates by engraving number
• Separates each with foam liner
• Tags each set with engraving number
• Stacks plates neatly using a foam pad and places proper identification on the plates
• Collects dirty or used plates and moves to plate washing area
• Keeps work area clean and in order
• Stores plates in designated staging area
• Removes plates from package
• Runs dirty plate through plate washer
• Repacks plates with production order to be sent to inventory
• Scheduled changing of washing fluid
• Keeps work area clean and organized at all times
• Strips plates on other jobs while sleeve washer is running
• Performs other duties as assigned
