About The Position

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Plate Mounter position at their VR1 facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This role involves compiling information, following instructions to operate a plate mounting system, and managing plate activities to meet the needs of the press department. The position requires understanding and completing accurate job search activities, operating and troubleshooting mounting equipment, proofreading printed material, and performing various calculations without a machine. Additionally, the role involves using measuring instruments like micrometers and rules.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Working knowledge of PRISM
Capable of entering data into Excel and Access programs
Ability to be self-directed and to multitask
Last performance review must have been "Performer" or better
No disciplinary actions Written level or higher within the past 120 days
Must have been in current role for more than 120 days.

Nice To Haves

Plate and/or Press department experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Compiling information, following written and logical instructions to operate a plate mounting system
Monitoring and managing plate activities to provide plates to meet the needs of the press department
Understanding and completing accurate job search activities
Operating and troubleshooting mounting equipment
Proof reading printed material, checking one design or pattern against another, and checking documentation for accuracy
Using a calculator to calculate (decimals, %, fractions) without a machine, and calculating (+,-, x, division) without a machine
Using a micrometer, reading meters, dials or calibrated scales, and using a rule or other physical measuring instrument
